Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Junkyard Tycoon account and associated data. There are two ways to request deletion: directly in the app (the fastest, automated method) or by emailing us.

1. Delete your data in the app (recommended)

After you confirm, your server-side account data is deleted immediately, and your on-device progress enters a 14-day undo window. If you re-open the game within 14 days and choose Restore my account, the deletion is cancelled. If you do nothing, your local game data is erased on the next launch after the window ends.

2. What is deleted

• Your account and game progress (vehicles, buildings, currencies, and local save data on the device).
• Your cloud-saved game backup (Google Play Saved Games).
• Your server-side game records: leaderboard entries, daily-login and reward records, promo-code usage, music votes, achievement sync data, and any support tickets, bug reports, and transaction records associated with your account.
• Files you uploaded that are tied to your account (for example, profile pictures, company logos, and support-ticket or bug-report attachments).

3. What is retained (and why)

As permitted by law (including GDPR Art. 17(3) — retention for fraud and abuse prevention), a limited set of data is kept after deletion:

• Anti-abuse and security records — such as ban status and integrity/anti-cheat flags — are retained to protect the game and other players.
• Shared in-game market data — companies you founded remain in the game economy as shared, ownerless market entities and may still contain your former in-game identifier or company name. This shared data is not removed so that the market and leaderboards remain consistent for other players.

4. Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the in-app option, email us at privacy@junkyardtycoon.com with the subject line "Data deletion request".

Because accounts can be anonymous (with no email on file), we may need additional information to locate your account before we can process a manual request. Wherever possible, please use the in-app option above, which identifies your account automatically.

5. Timing

In-app deletions remove server-side data right away; on-device data is erased after the 14-day undo window unless you cancel. Email requests are handled as soon as reasonably possible after we verify the request.
